How to Create and Manage Tags in Search AI

Tags help you organize prompts into meaningful categories, making it easier to analyze and compare prompt performance across Search AI reports.

By assigning one or more tags to prompts, you can group related prompts based on products, campaigns, business functions, or custom categories. Tags can then be used to filter reports and quickly identify insights for specific groups of prompts.

Create a Tag

Follow the steps below to create a tag in Search AI.

Step 1

Navigate to Search AI from the left navigation rail. Expand Settings and select Tags.

The Tags page displays all existing tags along with the number of prompts associated with each tag.

Step 2

Click Create Tag at the top right of the page.

Step 3

Enter a name for the tag, then click the + button next to the prompt to associate it with the tag.

Choose a descriptive name that represents the category you want to use for grouping prompts.

Step 4

Click Create.

The newly created tag appears in the Tags list.

Each tag displays:

  • Tag name

  • Number of associated prompts

  • Last updated date

Assign Tags to Prompts

After creating a tag, you can associate it with one or more prompts in the Themes and prompts page.

Step 1

Navigate to Search AI and select the Themes and prompts tab.

Step 2

Hover over the prompt you want to update and click the pencil icon.

Step 3

Under the Tags field, select one or more existing tags and click Save.

The selected tags are now associated with the prompt and become available for filtering across Search AI reports.

A single prompt can be associated with multiple tags.

Filter Reports Using Tags

Once prompts have been tagged, you can use tags to filter prompts associated with tags.

Step 1

Click the filter icon and select Tags.

Step 2

Choose one or more tags and click Apply.

Using tags allows you to compare prompt performance across different business categories without creating additional themes.

Edit or Delete a Tag

To manage an existing tag:

  1. Navigate to the Tags tab.

  2. Hover over the tag you want to modify.

  3. Select Edit to modify the tag or Delete to remove it.

NOTE:

Deleting a tag removes it from all associated prompts.

Best Practices

  • Use clear and descriptive tag names.

  • Apply consistent naming conventions across your organization.

  • Assign multiple tags when a prompt belongs to more than one business category.

  • Review tags periodically to remove duplicates or outdated categories.
