How to Use Search AI Recommendations to Improve Visibility, Engagement, and Search Performance

Updated over a week ago

Search AI Recommendations help you understand exactly what changes can improve your online visibility, engagement, and search performance. These AI-powered insights analyze your website content, structure, and keyword relevance to identify what is missing and what can be optimized.

Within the Search AI dashboard, you’ll receive categorized recommendations—ranging from general optimization suggestions to detailed website content improvements—designed to help you rank higher, improve sentiment, and strengthen your overall search presence.

Accessing Search AI Recommendations

Follow these steps to view and manage your Search AI recommendations:

From the left navigation menu, click ‘Search AI.’

Under the ‘Actions’ section, select ‘Recommendations.’

On this page, you’ll see three sections: Pending, Completed, and Rejected.

Pending

The Pending section displays all Search AI recommendations that require your review and action. These suggestions are generated by Search AI to help improve your business’s visibility, sentiment, and overall search performance.

Each recommendation is grouped into relevant categories, such as General, Website improvement, Website content, Reviews, and more, depending on your business and search signals.

Some recommendations include a red lightning icon next to them. This icon indicates critical recommendations—items that Search AI has identified as having a higher potential impact on your search performance.

Along with each recommendation, you’ll also see a brief explanation outlining why the change is important and how it can positively affect visibility, rankings, or conversions.

Hover over the recommendations to ‘Reject’ or ‘Mark as done.’

Click Reject if a recommendation is not relevant or applicable to your business. A confirmation pop-up appears with two options:

  • Reject (default): Removes the recommendation from your list for 30 days.

  • Remove permanently: Permanently dismisses the recommendation so it will not reappear.

Select the appropriate option and click Reject to confirm. The recommendation will move from the Pending to the Rejected section.

Click Mark as done once you’ve implemented the suggested changes outside the Birdeye platform. The recommendation will move from Pending to Completed.

Completed

Click the Completed tab to view recommendations that you’ve already acted on and marked as done. This section helps you track progress over time and review the improvements you’ve implemented based on Search AI insights.

Each completed recommendation displays:

  • The recommendation details

  • The expected impact

  • The date it was marked as completed

Reviewing completed recommendations allows you to measure ongoing optimization efforts and understand how your actions contribute to improved visibility, sentiment, and search performance.

Rejected

Click the Rejected tab to view recommendations you chose not to act on. Rejected recommendations remain visible under this tab for reference, allowing you to review past decisions and reassess them if they become relevant in the future.

This section helps maintain transparency and provides historical context on recommendations that were intentionally skipped or deemed not applicable to your business at the time.

Bulk Actions

Click the three vertical dots at the top right corner to mark as done and reject recommendations in bulk.

For example, after clicking Mark as done, you can select all or multiple recommendations at once. Once you’ve made your selections, click 'Mark as done' to apply them.

Similarly, you can bulk reject the recommendations.
