Navigating to Cliniko CRM
Log in to the Birdeye dashboard and go to Settings > Integrations > All Apps. Select Cliniko CRM to connect. The screen provides integration benefits, pricing, and details on compatibility. Clicking the 'View Setup Guide' tab will redirect you to this article for detailed step-by-step instructions.
HOW TO CONNECT
Step 1: Add an Api Key
Enter the API Key in the text box and click 'Next.'
Handy tip: If you want to integrate more than one Cliniko account with Birdeye, click 'Add more API Key.' Small business (SMB)customers who have purchased only one Birdeye location cannot integrate more than one account.
Steps to Get an API Key in Cliniko:
- Sign in to your Cliniko account and click 'My info' (under your name on the left navigation).
- Click the 'Manage API keys' button under the API keys.
Ensure that "Allow yourself to create and use API keys" is toggled to Yes. Otherwise, you will not be able to create an API key. - You'll be redirected to the API Keys Page. Click '+ Add an API Key'.
- Now, give your API key a unique name and click on the 'Create API key.'
- Once you click Create API Key, you will view a long string of letters and numbers, which is your API key. Copy it now before clicking Done, as it won't be shown again.
Step 2: Map Locations
After authorizing the CRM, you can now map locations.
If you’ve integrated multiple Cliniko accounts, start by mapping each account to its corresponding Birdeye location, then apply the necessary Cliniko filters or location identifiers. Contacts will sync from Cliniko to the respective Birdeye locations based on the selected filters and accounts. If only one Cliniko account is integrated, the Accounts column will not appear.
To map an account or location, use the drop-down under the Accounts column next to the desired Birdeye location and select the integrated account.
Cliniko provides various filters/location identifiers such as Location name and Appointment Types. Click the Edit button to select the appropriate filter and enter values for the corresponding location identifier.
Once mapped, click Next to continue.
Handy Tip: If a location identifier is missing for businesses with multiple Birdeye locations, refer to this article.
Steps to Validate Location Name and Appointment Types:
- Log in to the Cliniko dashboard.
- Go to the 'Settings' tab, then select 'Business Information' under the 'Our Clinic' section.
- Verify that the location names are visible and ensure the location you're configuring is listed.
- Go to 'Settings' again and select 'Appointment types' under the 'Appointments' section.
- Check that the appointment types you plan to configure are listed here.
Step 3: Select Triggers
Check the box to select your preferred triggers, as shown in the image below. After making your selection, click 'Done.' Once triggers are saved, details will start syncing between Cliniko and Birdeye.
A toast message will appear on the screen saying, 'Cliniko successfully connected.' You can now build automated campaigns for reviews, surveys, and referrals or any other custom campaigns by clicking the 'Go to Campaigns' option or skipping it.
