Explore Citations

The Citations tab shows the top sources AI engines reference most when answering prompts related to your themes.

Here’s what you’ll find in this view:

• Top sources – Websites or platforms (e.g., your own website, competitors, directories) most cited by AI engines.
• Source type – Whether it’s your website, a listing site, or another source.
• Unique citations – The number of unique pages from the selected site that appear across all tracked responses for this theme.
• AI Share of Voice – How often AI uses the citation source compared to all other citation sources.
  
  

Hover over the citation source and click ‘Show citations.’

View citation sources by AI platforms. You can analyze which sources AI engines are citing most often — not just overall, but also by individual AI platform.

• Use the tabs at the top to filter by All (combined view), ChatGPT, Gemini, and Perplexity.
• For each source (e.g., MapQuest), you can see the specific citations pulled into AI-generated answers, including links and details.

Within the Citations tab, you can also switch between AI platforms to see which sources each one references most. Use the tabs to view citations for ChatGPT, Gemini, or Perplexity individually.

In addition to switching AI platforms, you can also filter citations by specific themes.

• Click the dropdown next to All themes.
• Select a theme.
• The table updates to show which sources AI engines are citing most often for that theme.
