What Are AI Prompts in Reviews and Social, and How Are They Used?
AI prompts allow businesses to define clear guidelines for generating AI conten, ensuring the tone, structure, and messaging align with your brand voice. This feature supports specific content types, such as holiday posts, social media ideas, and review responses, by letting you set instructions that guide the AI’s output. With real-time previews, you can see how the AI interprets your prompts before publishing, giving you complete control and confidence in your content.
NOTE:
The AI prompts are applicable for review responses and social post generation (generating holiday posts and post ideas).
AI Prompts in Reviews AI
Navigate to the ‘Reviews AI’ tab.
Click ‘AI prompts.’
You will view the default prompts set for review response.
Alternatively, you can land on the AI prompts page by navigating to the ‘All’ tab, clicking the ‘AI’ option in the review reply text box, and selecting ‘AI prompts.’
If you’d like to modify a default AI prompt, hover over the desired prompt and click the pencil icon to edit it. If a prompt is irrelevant, remove it by clicking the delete icon.
To add a new prompt, click ‘Add prompt’ at the bottom of the screen.
For instance, if you were to add a prompt - ‘For negative reviews, use the location’s support contact number.’ You can use customized tokens by clicking ‘Personalize.’
NOTE:
The prompts collectively generate a single post. It’s recommended to avoid conflicting prompts, as they may negatively impact the quality of the generated content.
Click ‘Add’ to include the prompt.
IMPORTANT: The AI will validate each prompt before including it. Prompts conflicting with the Guardrails set under the Brand AI tab will be rejected. If a prompt violates these predefined rules, it will not be added, and an error message will appear. This validation applies to prompts to generate review responses, social holiday posts, and post ideas.
For example, if a guardrail under Brand AI specifies ‘reply in Spanish,’ but an AI prompt for review replies says 'reply in English,' an error will occur. This is because the Brand AI guardrails take precedence over all other instructions.
To learn more about Guardrails, refer to the help center article: How to Set Up Brand AI within Birdeye.
In the ‘Preview’ section, you can view real-time review responses generated based on the AI prompts you add.
