Enhance Your Social Media Strategy: Best Times to Post by BirdAI
Users can identify the best times to post to optimize their social media strategy for increased engagements or impressions. The best times to post eliminates the timing guesswork of posting content by offering a list of suggested times based on engagement factors, enabling businesses to maximize the reach of their content.
This is done based on past trends to predict optimal times to post in the future.
Heat Map Report
Go to the ‘Social’ tab to explore the heat map report.
Under the ‘Publish’ tab, click ‘Best times to post.’
The first heat map you will view is the ‘Average engagement for your post,’ which predicts optimal times based on past engagement trends of posts. You can refer to this heat map and publish posts to increase engagement of your posts. This heat map covers Sunday through Saturday and has the 24-hour slots split into one hour each.
The heat map suggests the most optimal and least optimal times to post over every hour of the week. The lighter shade of the tile represents the least optimal times, and the darker shade resembles the most optimal times.
Click ‘All channels’ on the top right of the screen to view the heat map of a specific social channel.
You can select all channels or a specific social channel.
Bird AI’s recommended posting times highlight the top 3 optimal times to publish the post, starting from today and extending over the next 7 days.
NOTE:
These suggestions are not limited to the current week but apply to the next 7 days from today. This also applies to the ‘Average impressions for your post’ heat map, which we will explore below.
Click ‘Schedule post’ under recommended posting times.
It will redirect you to the ‘Create post’ page with a pre-filled scheduled date and time that has been selected. In this case, the post will be scheduled for August 22, 6:00 p.m.
NOTE:
The time suggestions in the heatmap report are based on the business time zone, not the user/browser time zone.
The second heat map you will view is the ‘Average impressions for your post,’ which predicts optimal times based on past impressions trends of posts. You can refer to this heat map and publish the post to increase impressions of your post. This heat map works similarly to the ‘Average engagement for your post’ heat map.
Impressions: The metric reflects the number of times your social posts, stories, ads, and other content linked to your page and the page itself were presented to users.
You can use BirdAI’s recommended post times to increase awareness of your business.
Best Times For Scheduling Posts For Individual Channels And Group Channels
Set individual schedule dates for each social channel (either by using the best times to post or manually), or schedule posts for all channels at the same date and time.
BirdAI offers both general (channel-agnostic) and channel-specific optimal time suggestions, which users can explore when creating a post.
Go to the ‘Create post’ page, select the channels where you want to post, enter the content, and click ‘Schedule post.’
You can schedule posts for all channels at the same date and time or separately for each channel.
When a user selects the date, the user will view time suggestions to post based on ‘High engagement’ and ‘High impressions.’
NOTE:
The time zone suggested here is the user/browser time zone, not the business time zone, whereas the times suggested on the heat map page are based on the business time zone.
Important:
Case 1 - Whenever Bird AI suggests the best times to post, it can accurately predict optimal times from today until the end of next week (14 days). Beyond this date, you will not find BirdAI optimal times suggestions. However, users can manually set the preferred time to suit their business needs.
Case 2 - For instance, a user creates the post and wants to publish it on the same day, but the best times to post for that day have already been crossed for either high engagement, impressions, or both. In this case, Bird AI will not show any suggestions for that particular day but will recommend you to pick another day for the best time to suggest.
Case 3 -Timezone conversions can cause differences in scheduling. For example, if a user is in a different time zone than their business location. The user clicks to schedule a post on the heat map page, it shows a suggested time based on the business's timezone, such as 11 pm. However, when the user proceeds to the schedule post page, the time is automatically converted to the browser's time zone. If there's a significant time difference, this might shift the slot to the next day.
