Birdeye allows you to control whether recipients must sign in to their Birdeye account before accessing a report or dashboard shared through an export link. You can also configure how long non-guarded links remain valid.
Configure report link access
From the Birdeye dashboard, navigate to Reports.
In the left navigation, expand Resources.
Select the Report link access.
Under Link access type, choose how recipients can access the report:
Sign-in required
Only users with a Birdeye account can view the report. They will be prompted to sign in when they open the link. Access is also subject to their existing role and location permissions.
Anyone with link
If you select Anyone with link, use the Link expires after drop-down to choose how long the link remains valid. You can set the expiry from 1 day to 30 days.
The expiry period begins when the scheduled export is generated and sent, not when the recipient first opens the link. Once the link expires, it is no longer accessible.
When Anyone with link is selected, the scheduled report is still sent to the configured Birdeye users. A recipient who receives the report can then share or forward the report email to another person.
The recipient can click the report link from the forwarded email and view the report without signing in to Birdeye.
The important thing is that access is provided by the link itself. Therefore, anyone who receives or obtains the link can access the report until the link expires.
NOTE:
The report link access setting is controlled at the account level and applies to scheduled export links generated after the setting is changed. It does not change links that were already generated and sent.
IMPORTANT:
When Anyone with link is selected, the link can be forwarded to others. Anyone who has the URL can access the report without an identity check. Use this option only when you are comfortable sharing the report with anyone who obtains the link.
