Why This Happens
This issue occurs when the Instagram account cannot be linked to a Facebook Page. Common reasons include:
The Instagram account is a Personal account instead of a Business or Creator account.
The Instagram account is already linked to another Facebook Page.
The user attempting the connection does not have the required admin permissions on the Facebook Page.
The user is signed into the wrong Facebook or Instagram account during the linking process.
How to Resolve the Issue
Ensure the Instagram account is a Business or Creator account. If it is a Personal account, convert it from the Instagram app before attempting to connect it.
Log in to Facebook and navigate to Page Settings > Linked Accounts (or Instagram, depending on the Page experience).
Select Connect Account and follow the prompts to link the Instagram account to the Facebook Page.
Verify that you are signed in to the correct Facebook account that has Admin or Full Control access to the Page, and to the correct Instagram account during the linking process.
If the Instagram account is already connected to another Facebook Page, remove the existing connection before linking it to the new Page.
Retry connecting the account in Birdeye after the Facebook and Instagram accounts have been successfully linked.

If the accounts still cannot be linked after verifying the account type, permissions, and existing connections, review Facebook's official guide for linking Instagram to a Facebook Page. If the issue continues, contact Meta Support to verify whether there are any account-level restrictions preventing the connection.
