Overview
If you receive the following error while connecting or managing a Facebook Page in Birdeye:
Full access and 2FA — Account requires full access and two-factor authentication to connect.
The Facebook account you're using doesn't meet Meta's security or permission requirements. To manage a Facebook Page through Birdeye, the account must have Full Control (or the required task access permissions) and Two-Factor Authentication (2FA) enabled.
Why This Happens
This error can occur when:
Two-Factor Authentication (2FA) isn't enabled on the Facebook account managing the Page.
The Facebook user doesn't have Full Control over the Page.
The user has Task Access but doesn't have the required Manage Page settings and info permission.
Meta's security requirements for managing Facebook Pages through third-party applications haven't been met.
How to Resolve the Issue
1. Enable Two-Factor Authentication (2FA)
Meta requires administrators (and, in many cases, editors) to enable Two-Factor Authentication before performing admin-level actions through third-party applications.
To enable 2FA:
Log in to your Facebook account.
Navigate to Settings & Privacy > Settings > Security and Login.
Select Two-Factor Authentication.
Choose your preferred authentication method and complete the setup.
Log out and log back in to ensure the changes take effect.
2. Verify your Facebook Page access
Confirm that your Facebook account has one of the following:
Full Control over the Facebook Page (recommended), or
Task Access with the Manage Page settings and info permission enabled.
Users with partial access or insufficient task permissions won't be able to manage Page information through Birdeye.
3. Reconnect your Facebook Page
After enabling 2FA and verifying your Page permissions:
In Birdeye, navigate to Settings > Social Profiles.
Disconnect the affected Facebook Page.
Reconnect the Page and grant all requested permissions during the OAuth flow.
4. Verify the connection
Publish a test post or perform the action again to confirm the Page has been connected successfully.
If the Issue Persists
If the issue continues:
Confirm that Two-Factor Authentication is enabled on the Facebook account managing the Page.
Verify that the account has Full Control or the required Task Access permissions.
Reconnect the Facebook Page in Birdeye after confirming the required permissions.
Contact Birdeye Support if the issue remains unresolved.
