Create and manage Content Streams in Birdeye Social

Content Streams help enterprise marketing teams distribute pre-approved social content to multiple business locations from a central place. They simplify automated social publishing by organizing content into topic-based streams that deliver posts to selected locations as scheduled posts or drafts based on each location's preferences.

Location users can choose whether to automatically schedule posts from a content stream or receive them as drafts for review.

Create a Content Stream

Content Streams allow administrators to organize automated social campaigns by creating topic-based content streams and assigning business locations that should receive the content.

Navigate to Social AI, expand Settings within the Social AI tab and select Content streams.

Click Create Content stream.

A panel opens on the right side. Enter the following details:

  • Stream name – Enter a name to identify the content stream.

  • Description – Add an optional description explaining the purpose of the stream.

  • Scheduling method – Select how posts should be scheduled:

    • Set date and time for each post – Choose a publish date and time when creating each post.

    • Recurring schedule – Automatically schedule posts using predefined time slots.

Under Locations, select the business locations that should receive posts from this content stream. The selected locations become recipients of the content stream, enabling automated social publishing across multiple business locations. Whenever a new post is added, it is delivered to those locations and either:

  • Automatically scheduled, if the location has auto-Schedule enabled.

  • Saved as a draft, if the location has auto-schedule disabled.

You can:

  • Search for specific locations.

  • Select individual locations.

  • Use Select all to include all available locations.

Once finished, click Create.

Add Posts to a Content Stream

You can add posts to a content stream in two ways.

Method 1: From Content Streams under Social AI Settings

Open the desired content stream.

Click Add Post.

Create your post as you normally would.

If the content stream uses manual scheduling, select the publish date and time before scheduling the post.

If the content stream uses automatic scheduling, Birdeye schedules or creates drafts according to the content stream configuration.

Method 2: From Create Post

Navigate to Social > Create Post.

Click the dropdown button corresponding to Social channels, switch to the Content Streams tab, select social channels, and click Done.

If you click on the stream name and click View details.

You can:

  • View stream details.

  • Review assigned locations.

  • Linked social accounts

  • Clicking Manage content streams will redirect you to the Content Stream configuration page.

Compose your post and schedule or publish it according to the stream configuration.

Schedule a Post

After creating your post, click Schedule.

If your content stream is configured with Set date and time for each post, the Post timing window opens, allowing you to choose when the post should be published.

You can:

  • Select a publish date.

  • Select a publish time.

  • Choose Same time for all to publish the post across all selected social channels at the same date and time.

  • Choose Set per channel to specify a different publish date and time for each social channel.

Once you've configured the schedule, click Schedule post.

NOTE:

If your content stream is configured with automatic scheduling, you don't need to manually select a publish date and time. Birdeye automatically schedules or creates drafts for the selected locations based on the content stream configuration and each location's auto-scheduling preference.

Enable or Disable Automatic Scheduling

Each location can decide how it wants to receive posts from a content stream.

Location users can:

  • Opt in to automatically schedule posts from a content stream.

  • Opt out if they prefer receiving posts as drafts instead.

When automatic scheduling is enabled, future posts from that content stream are automatically scheduled based on the configured publishing settings.

If automatic scheduling is disabled, new posts from the content stream are delivered as drafts for review.

View Content Stream Posts

Navigate to the Social Calendar.

Use the Content Stream filter to view posts belonging to a specific content stream.

The calendar displays both:

  • Scheduled posts

  • Draft posts

This makes it easier to monitor campaign-specific content across locations.

View Content Stream Performance

Open a Content stream to view its performance summary.

Depending on available data, you can view metrics such as:

  • Locations with Auto Schedule enabled

  • Total posts

  • Adoption rate

  • Total impressions

  • Total reach

  • Total engagement

  • Engagement rate

These metrics help administrators understand content adoption and campaign performance across locations.

Edit, Duplicate, Disable, or Delete a Content Stream

Hover over the desired content stream and click the three vertical dots menu button.

Use the available actions to:

  • Edit the stream name, description, scheduling settings, or assigned locations.

  • Create a duplicate copy of the stream.

  • Disable the stream temporarily.

  • Delete the content stream if it is no longer needed.
