Integrating Birdeye with Planet DDS (Denticon)
Planet DDS (Denticon) is a cloud-based Practice Management System (PMS) for dental professionals, offering patient account and records management, appointment scheduling, and billing. It supports solo, medium-sized, and multi-location practices, streamlining daily operations. Connecting Denticon with Birdeye further simplifies tenant communication and enhances overall practice management.

Supported Integration Triggers for Planet DDS (Denticon) Integration:
- Appointment status updated - Activate this trigger to automatically add patient contact details to Birdeye when an appointment in Denticon changes to a status configured in Birdeye
- Appointment created or updated in Denticon - Activate this trigger to automatically sync details of appointments created or updated in Denticon to Birdeye, and to sync cancellations or confirmations from Birdeye to Denticon
- Appointment created or updated in Birdeye - Activate this trigger to automatically sync appointment details created or updated in Birdeye to Denticon
- Appointment booked - Activate this trigger to automatically add patient contact details to Birdeye when an appointment is marked as booked in Denticon
- Appointment missed - Activate this trigger to automatically add patient contact details to Birdeye when an appointment is marked as missed in Denticon
- Appointment cancelled - Activate this trigger to automatically add patient contact details to Birdeye when an appointment is marked as cancelled in Denticon

Navigating to Planet DDS (Denticon) CRM
Log in to the Birdeye dashboard and navigate to Settings > Integrations > All Apps. Select Planet DDS (Denticon) to connect. You’ll see integration benefits, pricing, and compatibility. Click the 'View Setup Guide' tab to access step-by-step instructions.
HOW TO CONNECT
Step 1: Enable Birdeye Integration in the Denticon Dashboard
To enable, click 'Next.'
Steps to Enable Vendor API Access in Denticon
1. Log in to your Denticon account using your valid username and password.
2. Navigate to Setup > Offices, and select 'Vendor API Settings – New' from the menu.
3. On the Vendor API Settings screen, you’ll see two sections:

Section 1: Integrated Vendors
View all vendors that your practice can integrate with via API. -
Section 2: Assigned Offices
See which offices are currently authorized to access a selected vendor’s API.
4. To grant access to Birdeye (or any new vendor), click 'Add Vendor', choose the desired vendor tile, click 'Activate', and then select the office(s) you want to authorize.
5. If Birdeye is already listed as a vendor, click 'Edit' to update office access. You can add or remove offices as needed. Click 'Save' to apply your changes.
Step 2: Enable Denticon Integration in the Birdeye Dashboard
Enter the 'Denticon PGID' in the text box and click 'Send Request.'
Once the request is sent, the Birdeye support team will process it and enable the integration in Birdeye.
- If approved, the client will receive an approval email, and the status will change to Approved.
- If the Denticon PGID is incorrect, the request will be rejected. The client will receive a rejection email and must re-enter the correct business name.
- If the client does not hear back within 48 hours, they can contact Birdeye support at 1-800-561-3357 Ext. 3 or by email.
Once approved, click 'Next.'
Steps to get PGID -
- Go to the Denticon Credential Portal.
- Log in using your Denticon credentials.
- Locate the business by its PGID.
- Click View Details for the selected client.
- Copy the Client ID and add it as a Birdeye group property for the same business.
- Click Reset Secret to generate the Client Secret (can only be reset once).
- Copy the Client Secret and add it as a Birdeye group property.
Step 3: Map Locations
Once the integration is established, map your Birdeye locations to ensure the data flows correctly between Denticon and Birdeye.

Once mapped, click 'Next' to continue.

Step 4: Select Triggers
Check the box to select your preferred triggers, as shown in the image below. After making your selection, click 'Next.'
You need to perform a few more steps to enable the triggers.
From the dropdown, select the appointment status that will trigger a sync from Denticon to Birdeye.
When an appointment is updated to this status in Denticon, the patient’s contact details will be fetched into Birdeye.
Click 'Next' to proceed.
A toast message will appear on the screen saying, 'Planet DDS (Denticon) successfully connected.' You can now build automated campaigns for reviews, surveys, and referrals or any other custom campaigns by clicking the 'Go to Campaigns' option or skipping it.
