How To Use Media Library (Formerly Asset Library)

The Media library (previously known as the Asset library) is a centralized hub where you can upload, organize, and manage all your media, including images, videos, and GIFs. You can also directly add media from here while creating a social post, making it easy to integrate assets into your publishing workflow. With new folder structures, filters, and classification options, it’s easier than ever to manage creative assets and use them across modules like Social.

Navigation

Go to ‘Settings,’ select  'Knowledge Graph,' and click ‘Media library.’ All media uploaded across Birdeye modules will be available here.

Key Updates

Asset Library Renamed

  • The Asset library is now called Media library.
  • This is your single repository for all media assets across products.

Folder Management

You can now create and manage folders in the Media Library to better organize your assets.

Create a Folder

Click ‘Create folder,’

Enter the folder name, and click ‘Create’ to add a new folder.

Upload Media Files in a Folder

Open the folder where you want to add media, click ‘Upload media,’ and select a source from the dropdown: Computer, Free media, OneDrive, or Dropbox. Choose your file(s) and upload.

Media Actions

Hover over a media file and click the three-dot menu to access quick actions:

  • Edit – Opens the image editor to modify the media.
  • Create social post – Redirects to the Create Post page in the Social tab with this media pre-attached.
  • Add tags – Add or edit tags for better organization.
  • Move to folder – Move the selected media between folders.
  • Copy image URL – Copy the media link for external use.
  • Delete – Permanently remove the media file from the folder.

Bulk Actions

You can perform actions on multiple media files at once:

  1. Hover over and select multiple images.
  2. Click the ‘Actions’ dropdown.
  3. Choose from the available options:
  • Create social post
  • Add tags
  • Move to folder
  • Delete

View Existing Folders

All created folders will appear in the Media library main page, grouping your images, GIFs, and videos.

Rename or Delete Folders

You can rename folders at any time or delete them if no longer needed. Hover over the folder and click the three dots menu icon. Select ‘Rename’ to modify the name of the folder.

When deleting, you can either:

  • Delete both the folder and its contents.
  • Delete the folder only (media stays in the library).

Click ‘Delete’ to confirm the deletion.

Advanced Filters

Quickly locate assets using filters:

  • Type (image, video, GIF)
  • Uploaded by (who added it)
  • Time period (when added, select the time period)
  • Source (where it was uploaded from computer, free media, OneDrive, etc.)

NOTE:

Media uploaded before this update will appear as Unclassified under Source. New uploads will be correctly classified.

Using Media Library in Social

When creating a post in Social > Create Post, click 'Add Media.'

Select ‘Media library.’

The same Media library view appears inside the post creation flow. You can filter, search, and select media just as you would in Settings.

Notes & Tips

  • Media library supports up to 10 files per upload (as earlier).
  • Consistent tagging helps retrieve assets quickly.
  • Use folders by campaign, brand, or type to keep media organized.
  • Social posts do not yet support carousel uploads (multiple images + video at once).
