How do I embed 'Webchat' widget on my Joomla website?
After you customize Birdeye's Webchat widget and install it on your business website, you can respond to your website visitors via Birdeye Inbox using your web or mobile devices.
This article walks you through the steps involved in embedding the Webchat widget on your Joomla website.
Log in to your Birdeye account and copy the Webchat widget code for your business website. To find the Webchat widget code within your Birdeye account, read the help center article: How do I embed the 'Webchat' widget on my business website?
Log in to your Joomla account and click on the 'Module Manager' option under the 'Extensions' drop-down menu.
When the 'Module Manager' window pops-up, click on the 'New' button on the top left.
Now, click on the 'Custom HTML' option under the 'Select a Module Type' section.
On the next screen, navigate to the 'Positions' drop-down menu on the right and select the 'Footer' option.
Navigate to the 'Tools' drop-down menu on the 'Custom HTML' toolbar and click on the '<> Source code' button.
When the 'Source code' window pops-up, paste the Webchat widget code and click on the 'Ok' button.
Now, navigate to the 'Menu Assignment' tab under the 'Module Manager' and select the option you want from the 'Module Assignment' drop-down menu. You can embed Webchat on all the pages, or on a few selected pages of your Joomla website and save the settings.
