How do I embed the Chatbot AI widget on my business website?

Effective customer interaction is the key to building successful businesses. Customers often fail to access quality support and leave bad reviews, which affects the overall reputation. With one-to-one interaction, businesses can cater to varied customer needs and maintain an unmatchable online reputation. 

Birdeye Chatbot AI allows businesses to interact with their website visitors from within the Birdeye Dashboard. To enable Chatbot AI, businesses need to embed a code on their website.

To generate Chatbot AI widget code, follow these steps:

On the Birdeye dashboard, click on 'Settings.'
Navigate to the 'Inbox' section, and click on 'Chatbot AI'.

Under the 'Install' tab, click on 'Copy Code' to copy the code. 


To email code to your webmaster, click on 'Email Code.'


To enter multiple email ids, separate ids using commas.
Update the Subject and Body of the email and click on 'Send Email.'

To copy the Chatbot AI widget code on a multi-location account, hover over the location's widget and click on the corresponding 'Copy the Chatbot AI code' button.

EMBEDDING THE CODE ON THE BUSINESS WEBSITE

Follow these steps to embed the code on your business website:

  1. Log into your website editor and edit your site’s HTML Code.
  2. Look for the body tags (<body> and </body>) in your HTML.
  3. Paste the copied code between the body tags (either right after the <body> tag or right before the </body> tag).
  4. 'Save and Publish' your changes.
  5. Refresh your website and the 'Chatbot AI' widget will be seen on the website.

If a third-party administrator manages your website, simply provide them with the code to embed and share this article for detailed instructions.

EMAIL-ONLY CHATBOT AI

Birdeye has introduced an email-only Chatbot AI option for businesses. Your customers and prospects can now seamlessly contact you for orders and queries without entering their mobile numbers. Customers can provide their email addresses through Chatbot AI, and business owners will receive the information in the Inbox without any blocked conversation.
