What different types of questions can I create within a survey?
With Birdeye, you can create customer surveys from within your account and customize them to generate detailed feedback. Birdeye provides numerous question types to choose from while create a 'Standard' or 'Pulse' survey.
Below are the types of question available in a Standard survey:
MULTIPLE CHOICE
This question allows the respondent to select one answer choice from the listed choices. In this question type, the respondents can select the most appropriate answer that best suits the question asked. Mostly all questions in the survey will allow you to delete an option with an 'X' marked at the end or allow you to add another option with the '+' icon.
CHECKBOX
This question allows the respondent to select one or more than one checkbox from the list of answers. In this question type, the respondents can select all the choices that apply to them rather than being restricted to selecting just one.
DROP-DOWN
It allows the respondent to select one of the options available from the drop-down list. This question is useful if you want to add multiple options to a question.
SHORT ANSWER
This question allows the respondent to provide a short text or numerical value answer to your question within 250 characters. A short answer entry format usually encourages respondents to answer in fewer well-chosen words.
PARAGRAPH
This question allows the respondent to write a detailed answer to your question within 2000 characters. This question is most suitable if you are seeking an elaborate and detailed answer from a respondent.
RATING
A rating question can be used in a variety of use cases to determine customer experience. It can be used to derive customer feedback for different microelements of a business or product. Rating questions are used to ask respondents to rate anything on a point scale.
NPS QUESTION
Net Promoter Score is a time-tested customer satisfaction measurement tool that can be used to gauge the loyalty of a firm's customer relationships. The NPS question can, therefore, help you understand customer sentiment and provides you with essential customer data for you to take action.
MATRIX RADIO CHOICE
This question allows the respondent to select one option from a row of multiple choice options for each of the question types. You can add multiple rows in a Matrix radio question by clicking on 'Add rows'.
From the 'edit' button placed on the top right corner of the question, you can customize each column's label.
MATRIX DROP-DOWN
This question allows the respondent to select one option for each of the several question items from the drop-down list. You can add multiple question items in a Matrix drop-down question by clicking on 'Add rows' and add more choices to choose from in the drop-down by clicking on 'Add choices'.
MATRIX RATING
This question allows the respondent to rate statements on a '5 point' sentiment scale. You can add multiple statements in the Matrix rating question by clicking on 'Add rows'.
CONTACT INFORMATION
This question is used to fetch the contact information of the survey taker. Checking the 'Required' box will make the field mandatory. You can add multiple fields in addition to the existing fields like Country, State, City etc. by clicking on 'Add field'.
DATE / TIME
The Date/Time question helps businesses to collect the date and time of a customer's visit. You have the ability to modify the question title, add time picker and choose the time interval once the time picker is enabled.
LOCATION
This question type can be used to identify which location the respondents visited. It helps to dig deeper into feedback once you have a clearer idea of which location they are referring to. The locations added by you within the Birdeye account will get picked up as drop-down options, and you can select which ones you wish to add.
HELP TEXT
This question type helps you give a brief introduction/ closing terms to your survey to help respondents answer better. It could be in the form of a consent form or simply mention terms and conditions to your survey. It can also be useful if you are looking at adding footers.
REQUEST REVIEW
With Birdeye, you can get new reviews from the survey respondents using the 'Request review' question. Placed at the bottom of the survey questionnaire, it is the only question that cannot be moved from its position. You can select up to 3 review site and also choose to turn on a 'Contact Us' option using the toggle button.
