How do I edit or delete published posts in Social?

Users can now edit and delete published posts, allowing them to make changes or remove posts even after they have been published from Birdeye. Additionally, users with partial location access can edit and delete posts for their specific locations without affecting published posts in other locations.

NOTE:

Edit capability is available only for selected platforms, such as Facebook and LinkedIn.

Edit or Delete Posts With Full Owner Rights

Go to ‘SocialAI.’

Click the published post you want to edit or delete from the calendar.

A drawer with ‘Post details’ opens on the right side of your screen. You can view the date the post was published.

Scroll down to view the social pages where the post was published. Under ‘Activities,’ you can view who scheduled and published the post.

Click the ‘Three vertical dots’ at the top right of the screen to view options to ‘Edit and Delete’ the post.

If the user selects ‘Delete,’ the user will view two options - ‘Delete post’ and ‘Delete post from specific pages.’ On clicking, ‘Delete post,’ the post will be removed from all the pages where it was published.

If the user selects ‘Delete post from specific pages,’ they can choose particular pages to remove the post from. For example, if the post is published in four locations and the user wants to delete it from two locations, they can select those two locations and click ‘Delete’ to remove the post from those specific locations.

Click ‘Edit’ to modify the post.

Users will be redirected to the 'Edit Post' page. Click the dropdown button to see the list of pages where the post was published. If users want to modify the content for all locations except one, they can simply unselect that specific location while keeping the others selected.

NOTE:

The list shows only those locations where the post was published.

The user can edit the content in the text box.

NOTE:

Media content cannot be updated.

At the top right of the screen, the user can view the original date and time the post was published. Click ‘Save post’ to apply the changes.

The user can view the edited version of the published post below the original in the calendar. Click on the post to view its details.

In the ‘Activities’ section, a new card is generated that displays the date and time of the edit and the name of the person who made the changes.

Click ‘View post’ to see the changes.

In the ‘Post details,’ click ‘View original post’ to view the original post, you can also view the ‘Edited’ stamp on the content.

Scroll down to view where the post was published. In the ‘Activity’ section, view who published the post.

Edit or Delete Posts With Partial Owner Rights

A partial owner has limited access to the number of locations, unlike a full owner. For example, while the full owner has access to all locations, a partial owner might only have access to 3 to 4 locations or less than the total number of locations.

The partial owner can edit and delete posts for their specific locations without affecting published posts in other locations.

Edit or Delete Posts With Approvals

If the edited post was created with approvals, the edits must go through the same workflow.
