Birdeye subscribers get the paid versions of business profiles with review listings that allow them to market their products and services efficiently. Free business profiles, on the other hand, do not need a subscription and contain basic business information and aggregated reviews from online sources to help businesses with their online reputation.

The free listing usually appears on the web with a https://reviews.birdeye.com/businessname URL.

UPDATING A FREE PROFILE

All efforts are made to ensure that the business contact information on free profiles is correct. To update information on your review profile, click on the 'Suggest edits' button on the bottom right.

You can update your 'Business info', 'Additional info', 'Social links' and the 'About' section. On the first screen, update your 'Business info' and click on the 'Next' button to proceed.

You can also update the 'Business hours', 'Business category', 'Business sub-category' under the 'Additional info' tab. After you have updated the information, click on the 'Next' button to move to the 'Social links' section.

Once on the 'Social links' screen, update your social profiles with relevant links and click on the 'Next' button.

The 'About' section gives a brief introduction to your company and helps in optimizing your profile for the web. After updating this section, click on the 'Confirm' button to submit the information to Birdeye for review.

Once you submit the information, enter your email address for verification and click on 'Verify' button.

A 'Thank you' screen will appear once you have successfully submitted the edits. In the next couple of minutes, you will receive a verification email with the summary of edits you have requested for. To publish the 'Edits', scroll down to the bottom of the email body and click on the 'Publish' button.

CLAIMING A FREE PROFILE

To claim your review profile, follow the steps detailed below:

Click on the 'Own this business' button next to your business name.

You will be redirected to a page where you need to enter your 'Full name', 'Phone number' and 'Email' address. After entering the information, click on the 'Get started' button.

The next page asks you to confirm if the information about the business is correct. If you feel the information isn't correct, click on the 'Edit' link on the top right to correct it. If the information is correct, click on the 'Yes, claim now' button.

On the next page, you will get a notification that the profile is claimed. If Birdeye finds any inaccuracy in the information on your other listings, you will be notified on this page. If you wish to fix the errors on your other listings on the web, click on 'Fix all errors' button.

Upon clicking 'Fix all errors' button, you will be redirected to a page which confirms that you're on board. Later, a specialist from Birdeye will call you to show how to fix the errors.
