How to Manage Yelp Reviews Using Birdeye?
Integrating Yelp with Birdeye streamlines online reputation management by seamlessly connecting your Yelp profile to your Birdeye account. This integration allows you to monitor, respond to, and market/promote Yelp reviews alongside other review sources within the platform. From setup to leveraging features like Reviews AI, auto-reply rules, and ticketing, this guide provides a comprehensive overview of maximizing Yelp integration in Birdeye. Birdeye ensures streamlined workflows and efficient review management to manage and improve your Yelp profile.
When your account is live on Yelp, the different Yelp pages of your business are automatically detected and mapped to the corresponding locations on Birdeye. If any location is not mapped for some reason, you can enter the profile’s URL by going to that location under settings > Profiles > Monitoring sites.
Integrating Yelp With Birdeye To Reply To Reviews
As mentioned above, Birdeye locations are automatically mapped to the corresponding Yelp pages. User authentication is needed to reply to Yelp reviews. To do this, Go to ‘Settings,’ navigate to the ‘Integration’ section, and select ‘Yelp.’
Click ‘Connect’ to log into your Yelp account to authenticate and connect with Birdeye.
The user will be redirected to the Yelp login page to enter Yelp credentials for authentication.
It takes a moment to identify the pages you have access to and finalize the different locations to which you can post replies to. In the same way, other users who have access to Yelp can authenticate themselves to post replies on Yelp directly via Birdeye.
NOTE:
If you do not have access to a certain business location on Yelp, but have access to the corresponding location on Birdeye, you cannot reply as yourself. Alternatively, you can post responses on behalf of others who have access to that location on Yelp, and have authenticated themselves on Birdeye.
Hover over the ‘Authenticated Users’ names’ to view the users who can reply to reviews for that location.
Yelp in Reviews AI
Navigate to the ‘Reviews AI’ tab in the left navigation rail.
This page displays Yelp reviews fetched from the Yelp profiles set up in Birdeye. Select the desired Yelp review, click ‘Reply,’ and enter your response.
NOTE:
Initially, for each business location, the latest 200 reviews from Yelp will be fetched and displayed in the Birdeye. Subsequently, any new reviews posted on Yelp will be automatically fetched and shown in real time.
when responding to reviews, We recommend you personalize your responses or use AI to craft unique replies to Yelp reviews. This helps avoid repetitive responses, as Yelp's guidelines discourage using the same reply for multiple reviews.
You can select the user on whose behalf to post review replies. It could be any authenticated user of that location, including yourself. Click the ’Dropdown’ corresponding to the ‘Reply as’ option to view a list of authenticated users to select from. For example, if the reply needs to go out on behalf of Olivia Jones, then select the reply as ‘Olivia Jones.’
Once done, click ‘Post reply.’
NOTE:
At least one user needs to be authenticated to post replies. If there are none, you will be prompted to authenticate yourself before posting. If you are not authenticated but others have, you can choose any one among them. If you are authenticated too, you post as yourself by default but can choose another user to post as.
NOTE:
Users cannot reply to Yelp reviews using the ‘Bulk reply’ option. Yelp recommends variations in replies to reviews, and using the bulk option would negate this recommendation.
Yelp in Auto-reply Rules
Navigate to ‘Settings,’ click the ‘Reviews’ tab in the left rail, and select ‘Auto-reply rules.’
While setting up ‘Auto-reply rules’ for ‘Yelp,’ it is mandatory to select at least two or more templates. This aligns with Yelp’s recommendation to not repeat the same reply for consecutive replies. Selecting multiple templates minimizes this. If one template is selected, an error message will appear, preventing you from saving the rule. It is a good practice to create and select multiple templates for each rule to have a diverse range of replies, even for similar reviews.
Once two or more templates are selected for given conditions, the user can proceed to create and save the auto-reply rule.

Download, Email, And Schedule Review Reports For Yelp
The user cannot download, email, or schedule Review reports for Yelp, as this is in compliance with Yelp's policies, which prevent the export of Yelp reviews outside the platform.
For example, If the user clicks 'Download,' a message appears: ‘Your download will include all reviews, excluding Yelp.’
Yelp in Review Alerts
If the user has set up instant, daily, or weekly email alerts for reviews, the email alert for Yelp reviews will only display the number of reviews received. To view the review content, click ‘View review.’
Yelp in Review Sites Generation
The user cannot add Yelp URLs for review generation under the Settings tab. Yelp does not recommend businesses to solicit reviews from their customers actively, and Birdeye mirrors this same stance by ensuring that review request campaigns cannot be used for Yelp. Doing so may result in your Yelp profile being flagged or suspended.
Yelp in Review Tickets
Tickets for Yelp reviews can be created and assigned just like any other review source. The assignee will receive an email notification for each assigned ticket in their inbox.
View the ticket details for Yelp reviews with the Yelp logo and Yelp-themed stars under the Ticketing tab.
Social Share Yelp Reviews
You can share your best Yelp reviews on social channels, such as Google Business Profile, Facebook, X (Formerly Twitter), Instagram, and LinkedIn directly from Birdeye. Select the Yelp review you want to share, click the ‘Three vertical dots,’ and select ‘Share on Social.’
