How To Use Split Automation Under Campaigns

Distribute the automation across multiple campaign types and experiment with different templates within the same campaign to enhance conversion rates. Optimize the effectiveness of each campaign while preserving the quality of the customer experience. Segment your campaigns and conduct A/B testing on different templates to reduce campaign fatigue and boost conversions.

Campaign Distribution

Step 1 - Click ‘Campaigns.’

Step 2 - Click ‘Split automations.’

Step 3 - Click ‘Create split automation.’

Step 4 - Click the ‘Pencil’ icon to enter and edit the automation name.

Step 5 - Select the medium to send your automation. In this case, ‘Email and text’ is selected from the options available in the dropdown menu.

Step 6 - Click ‘Dropdown’ to choose when the contact is added from all sources or has been added through bulk import, check-in, SFTP, integration, and API.

Step 7 - Click on ‘Automation type’ and, for example, select ‘Review’ as the automation type.

Step 8 - Click on the ‘Percentage ratio’ to provide the percentage weight. For example, we provided 60% weightage to the Review, which means 60% of contacts will receive review requests.

Step 9 - Select the second automation type. For example, select ‘Survey’ as the automation type.

NOTE

The combined split ratio for two types of automation must exactly equal 100%; it should neither exceed nor be less than 100%. In this instance, the total is 110%, which is why an error message is displayed.

Step 10 - Click on the 'Percentage ratio' to adjust the ratio. In this case, we have adjusted the 'Survey ratio' to 40, which means 40% of contacts will receive survey requests.

The error message disappears when the sum of two automation types' percentage ratio is adjusted to equivalent to 100%.

Step 11- Click 'Dropdown' to select 'Email and Text template' for the first automation type.

Step 12 - Select the type of survey you want to send, such as a standard, NPS, pulse, etc.

Step 13 - Select the 'Email and text template' for the second automation type.

Delete

NOTE

If the same automation types are selected, ensure to choose distinct email and text templates for each type. Using identical email and text templates for both automation types is not permitted, and you will not be able to proceed.

Step 14 - Schedule the automation based on criteria highlighted.

Step 15 - Click 'Run split automation.'
