Integrating Birdeye with OpenDentalCloud
OpenDentalCloud is a hosted solution managed by Open Dental Software. It is an open-source practice management system (PMS) used across the dental community. It offers electronic prescriptions, appointment management, client and billing management, custom reports, and more. Integrating Birdeye with OpenDentalCloud will automate the daily sending out of review requests to patients.
Once OpenDentalCloud is integrated with Birdeye, Birdeye pulls patient information from OpenDentalCloud once daily for the appointments completed on the previous day.
Birdeye allows you to fetch data from your CRM using some predefined triggers. Here is the supported trigger for OpenDentalCloud:

What is BE Connector?
The BE Connector application is a native Windows application for healthcare businesses. Most healthcare businesses use a practice management system (PMS) to manage their patients. The BE Connector application helps integrate the PMS and Birdeye system so that the process of sending review requests to patients after their appointment is completely automated.
An intuitive wizard drives the installation and setup process. To set up the integration, you first have to download and install the app on the machine that has access to the PMS. Once the integration is complete, the BE Connector will pull data from the PMS and send the data to the server for further processing. Review requests are sent per the configurations and preferences the business sets on BE Connector.
How it works:
- Install BE Connector on OpenDentalCloud Server.
- Integrate OpenDentalCloud with BE Connector.
- BE Connector’s services will start pulling patient data from the PMS and automatically send review requests; based on the Scheduling configuration defined.
Birdeye collects the first name, last name, email address and phone number of your patients and automatically sends them review requests.
