Integrating Birdeye with AthenaHealth
AthenaHealth is an Electronic Health Records (EHR) system used by physicians, hospitals, and medical communities. Users are able to manage electronic health records, medical billing, patient engagement, care coordination, etc. with AthenaHealth. Integrating AthenaHealth with Birdeye will automate the process of sending out review requests to patients on a daily basis.
Birdeye allows you to fetch data from your CRM using a predefined trigger. Here is the supported trigger for AthenaHealth:
Trigger Name | Trigger Description |
Athena Health Completed Appointment Trigger | This trigger is used to fetch customer data based on the completed appointments. |
Appointment Writeback |
This trigger is used to update appointments created via the Birdeye widget (Writeback in PMS). It's required for scheduling. |
Appointment Reminder Trigger |
This trigger is used to cancel/confirm appointments. It's required for reminders. |
As a primary step, you should authorize Birdeye to fetch data from Athenahealth by filling out an Authorization and Consent form. Once this is done, please get in touch with the Birdeye technical support team at 1-800-561-3357 Ext. 3 or email them at - support@birdeye.com to set up the integration. You need to provide the practice id and department Id/provider NPI number to the Birdeye support team to set up the integration. In case you do not know the department Id, you can request it from the Birdeye support team by providing the department name and practice Id.
Once AthenaHealth is integrated with Birdeye, Birdeye will pull patient data for the appointments that were completed on the previous day. Birdeye collects the first name, last name, email address and phone number of your patients and automatically sends them review requests.
