How to configure Reserve with Google for your business

Reserve with Google lets customers book appointments directly from your Google Business Profile using the appointment link configured in Birdeye. Once enabled, Google displays a Book online button on the Google Search and Google Maps that directs customers to your booking page.

Before you begin

Before enabling Reserve with Google:

  • Make sure you have a valid HTTPS appointment URL.

  • The appointment link can point to:

    • Your business website

    • A third-party scheduling platform (such as Athena, Zocdoc, Calendly, or similar)

    • Any external URL where the company accepts customer appointments.

Enable Reserve with Google

Follow these steps to enable Reserve with Google for a location:

Step 1

Navigate to Settings and select Business.

Step 2

Open the location you want to configure.

Step 3

Scroll down to the Google business listing section field and click the edit button.

Step 4

In the Appointment link field, enter the booking URL where customers can schedule appointments, and enable the Reserve with Google toggle.

Step 5

At the top right of the page, save your changes.

After the appointment link is synced, Google displays a Book Online button on your Google Business Profile in Google Search and Google Maps. This process typically takes 24–36 hours.

NOTE:

The Google button, such as Book online cannot be customized.

What types of appointment links are supported?

Any valid HTTPS URL is supported, including Birdeye booking links, your business website, or third-party scheduling platforms such as Athena, Zocdoc, and Calendly.

How long does it take for the Book Online button to appear?

After enabling Reserve with Google, the button usually appears on Google Search and Google Maps within 24–36 hours.

Do I need Google's approval to enable Reserve with Google?

No. Once the appointment link is configured and the toggle is enabled in Birdeye, no additional Google approval is required.

Can I change the Book Online button text?

No. Google manages the button text and cannot be edited from Birdeye.

My appointment link isn't showing on Google. What should I do?

If the button hasn't appeared after 36 hours, contact Birdeye Support for assistance.
