How to Use the Platforms Report in Search AI

Introduction

The Platforms report in Search AI provides a consolidated view of how your business performs across different AI platforms such as ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity, Grok, Google AI, and Google AIO. While individual reports like Citations, Visibility, Ranking, Accuracy, and Sentiment focus on specific metrics, the Platforms report brings these insights together to help you understand overall performance trends across AI sites.

With this report, you can track how often your business is cited, how visible it is in AI-generated responses, and which themes contribute most to your performance—all in one place. It also helps you compare performance across platforms, monitor trends over time, and identify opportunities to improve your presence in AI-driven search experiences.

Navigate to the Platforms report

  1. From the left navigation menu, click Search AI.

  2. Expand the Reports section.

  3. Select Platforms.

Use filters and actions in the Platforms report

Use the available filters and actions to customize your view and manage reports effectively.

How often are you cited by AI sites

This section helps you track how often your content is cited across AI platforms over time. It provides a trend view of citation share for the AI platforms you have selected, along with your overall performance.

When you hover over the trend line, a detailed tooltip appears showing the citation share for each platform for a specific time period. This allows you to quickly compare performance across platforms and identify changes over time.

The platforms shown in this report depend on your configuration settings. For more information, see How to Configure Search AI Report Generation Settings.

Switch between these views depending on whether you want to analyze proportional share or total citation numbers.

Select a time period

Use the time period dropdown to adjust the reporting window for this particular chart.

You can choose from:

  • Last 3 months

  • Last 6 months

  • Last 12 months

This helps you analyze citation trends over different durations, whether you want to review recent performance or understand longer-term patterns.
