How do you integrate multiple locations without a location identifier in your CRM?

A location identifier is a unique field in your CRM that distinguishes different business locations. It ensures accurate data mapping in Birdeye, and without it, integrating multiple locations can be challenging.  When you integrate with Birdeye, data gets pushed to Birdeye from the CRM based on the mapping of Birdeye locations with your CRM location identifiers.

If your CRM lacks a location identifier, here’s how to handle it for a smooth integration.

There are two scenarios:

  • Scenario 1 - Single Account
  • Scenario 2 - Multiple Accounts

Scenario 1: Integrating with a Single CRM Account

If you have integrated one CRM account, follow these steps:

  • Go to the Location Mapping page in Birdeye.
  • Click the Edit icon and select your CRM account (e.g., QuickBooks).
  • Once selected, an 'Account Name' column will appear.
  • Map your Birdeye location to the corresponding account name.

NOTE:

This setup allows integration with only one location.

Scenario 2: Integrating with Multiple CRM Accounts

If your CRM has multiple accounts, you can map locations using the Account Name instead of a location identifier.

  • On the Location Mapping page, locate the Account Name column.
  • Map the Account Name to the appropriate Birdeye location.
  • You may skip mapping a location identifier unless it is mandatory.

Key Points to Remember

  1. If you skip the location identifier, you cannot map the same CRM account to multiple Birdeye locations.
  2. All CRM data will be mapped to the location where the Account Name is linked.

Following these steps, you can successfully integrate multiple locations in Birdeye, even if your CRM does not have a dedicated location identifier.
