Not Receiving Email Alerts? Here’s How to Fix It.

As a business owner registered with Birdeye, you can easily manage your email notification settings directly from your dashboard. Birdeye enables you to manage notifications for different review sites and apply filters for each notification type.

To enable email notifications, click the profile icon in the top right corner of your Birdeye dashboard. From the drop-down menu, select ‘Notifications.’

Click 'Edit your notifications' to manage alerts.

Select one or multiple accounts for which you want to manage alerts, then click 'Edit notifications.’

Scroll down to the following sections to edit notifications or alerts. Each category displays options for when you wish to be alerted.

  • Review emails
  • Review text 
  • Social alerts 
  • Ticketing emails
  • Referral emails
  • Survey emails 
  • Payment emails
  • Inbox alerts
  • Performance report 
  • Appointment alerts


Review Emails

 

Review emails display notifications that can be sent out ‘Instantly,’ ‘Daily,’ or ‘Weekly.’

You can select a custom time from the drop-down menu if you want to receive the review emails 'Daily' as a daily digest.

If you select weekly digest, you can select a day and time for the same.

NOTE:

Time options provided within the account are based on Pacific Standard Time (PST).

 

 

You can customize alerts based on star ratings and review sites. You can select one, a few, or all review sites from the drop-down menu.

After customizing alert settings, scroll down to the bottom of the page and click 'Save' in the bottom right to apply the changes.


Click ‘add a mobile number’ to receive review alerts via text (SMS).

 

Social Alerts

 

Enable or disable email notifications for ‘Posting failure,’ ‘Direct message,’ ‘Post comment,’ and more, as highlighted in the image below under the ‘Social alerts’ section.

 

Ticketing Emails

 

Instantly send ticketing emails to your inbox, and  choose your email notifications based on ticket ‘Status update,’ ‘Assignee change,’ ‘Comment,’ and those that ‘Started or stopped watching’ tickets.

 

Referral, Survey, And Payment Emails

 

Receive instant emails for ‘Referral,’ ‘Survey,’ and ‘Payment’ alerts. Be sure to turn on email notifications under the survey settings to receive emails for ‘Survey alerts.’

Inbox Alerts

 

Receive email notifications for any new unresponded messages assigned to ‘Everyone,’ ‘None,’ ‘You,’ or ‘Others.’

Set up ‘EMAIL ALERT FREQUENCY’ based on ‘Instantly’ or ‘After 15 minutes.’ Receive emails for any conversation within the Birdeye Inbox assigned to you.

 

Performance Report

 

Check the box to receive a daily summarized performance report via email.

 

Appointment Alerts

 

Set up email alerts for ‘Appointment booking,’ ‘Appointment status change,’ and  ‘Appointment form filled.’

Alternatively, you can edit and manage these notifications by navigating to the ‘Account’ tab and clicking ‘Users.’

Hover over the user and click ‘Manage user.’

A drawer opens on the right side; scroll down to edit and manage notifications for email alerts. After setting up the notifications, click ‘Update’ to apply the notification settings.
