How do I update my business hours across listings?
Businesses using Birdeye can easily update and maintain accurate business hours. This ensures the accuracy of the information on your Birdeye profile and allows you to showcase the correct opening hours consistently across all online listings.
NOTE:
To display correct information across all listings on the web, you need to subscribe to the Birdeye Listings tool.
Updating Business Hours
To begin, click on the 'Settings' icon at the top right corner of your Birdeye dashboard, then click' Business' under the ‘Business info’ section.
NOTE:
If you're a multi-location user, after clicking 'Business,' select the desired location for which you would like to update the business hours.
Scroll down to the 'Hours of operation' section on the new page.
Time Zone: It shows the time zone of your business location. This information will not be shared on any listing.
Business Status: This shows your business's current status. You can update whether your business is open, opening soon, temporarily closed, or permanently closed. This information will be shared on all the listings except a few others.
Click the 'Pencil' icon to edit the ‘Time zone, Business status, and Hours.’
Click the dropdown button and select the current status of your business.
You can also select the business's opening date.
NOTE:
If you select an Opened On date, Google will show the status as Recently Open, while other sites will show it as Open.
In case, the Business status is set to ‘Temporarily closed,’ you can select the reopening date. Similarly, when the status is set to ‘Opening soon,’ you can select the opening on date.
NOTE:
Mark your location as Temporarily Closed for closures longer than seven days. For shorter closures, use Special Hours. Set a Reopening date within the next year.
You have the following options to choose from: For regular hours of operation.
Open 24x7: This applies to a business that is open around the clock.
By appointment only: This applies to a business that does not allow walk-ins, and customers must make a prior appointment before visiting. Businesses can set regular hours to be ‘By Appointment Only.’
NOTE:
NOTE - This option is available for Google and Birdeye Microsite. Regular hours will be sent to Facebook, or default ones if none are given. Other sites will show listings without hours.
Custom: This option allows a business to customize its work hours and even select the days when it might be closed.
To initiate updating custom business hours, select the ‘Custom’ option.
Add regular business hours corresponding to the days. In this case, on Monday, the business opens at 9 a.m. and closes at 6 p.m. You can also set hours of operation in 15-minute intervals.
Special Hours
Using Birdeye, you can also add 'Special Hours'. This section can be used to enter hours for specific dates when the business has an irregular schedule or temporary business hours during special events or holidays without changing your regular hours.
Navigate to the special hours section, click the pencil icon to select the date, and set the special hours in the time section. Click ‘Add special hours’ to add more.
IMPORTANT:
If you schedule special hours, your regular hours won't change.
Google - More Hours
When using Birdeye, you also have the option to add 'Google - More hours.' This section allows you to input hours for specific services your business offers, such as delivery, takeout, drive-through, and pickup—all of which are relevant to your business category. To set more hours, click on '+ Add more hours' and set the time for other services.
IMPORTANT:
- Ensure that you fill in the 'Google category' field in your profile section and that you have opted in. The 'Google - More hours’ will only be pushed to your Google listing and depend on your Google category.
- If you schedule more hours, your regular hours won't change.
Apple - More Hours
This section lets you add business hours and days to Apple listings for specific services you offer, such as car service, takeout, pet grooming service, pickup, and more. The functionality is similar to Google - More hours, but it is specific to Apple listings.
For example, you offer a cafe and dining services. You have set hours for cafe and now you need to set hours for dining, in this case, you can click ‘Add more hours’ and set open and closing hours for the dining as well.
Once done, scroll above and click ‘Save.’
