How to integrate Birdeye with Microsoft Entra ID (Previously Azure AD) - Single sign-on?
Businesses can integrate Birdeye with Microsoft Entra ID (Previously Azure AD) SSO to help employees access key tools from a single dashboard without individually signing in to different applications. Single sign-on (SSO) is an authentication method that enables users to securely authenticate with multiple applications and websites using just one set of credentials.
Follow the below steps to configure the Microsoft Entra ID (Previously Azure AD) for SAML-based Single Sign On to Birdeye:
Once the user logs in, go to 'Manage Microsoft Entra ID' and click 'View.'
Click on 'Enterprise Applications' from the left navigation rail.
Click on '+ New Application' and create an application.
Click on '+Create your own application.' When a slider opens on the right, enter the name of your application and select 'Integrate any other application you don't find in the gallery (Non-gallery)' as shown in the image below.
Go to the 'Single Sign-on' tab on the left and look for the 'Edit' option on 'Basic SAML Configuration.'
Enter the Reply URL (Assertion Consumer Service URL) as https://okta.birdeye.com/saml/SSO and Identifier (Entity ID) as https://birdeye.com.
Navigate to the 'Attributes and Claims' section under the 'Required Claim' option. Within a claim name field, enter 'Unique User Identifier (Name ID)' and select 'user.userprincipalname' as this value corresponds to the email address and will be verified at Birdeye's end for successful login.
Copy the 'App Federation Metadata Url' and provide the same to the Birdeye Customer Support team.
Once the setup gets completed by the Birdeye Customer Support team, you may then copy the User access URL from the 'Properties' tab and paste it into your browser window, and you'll be successfully redirected to the Birdeye dashboard.
Once the setup is complete, you can successfully sign in to Birdeye using Microsoft Entra ID (Previously Azure AD) using the above-copied User access URL.
