Why does Birdeye use 'No Follow' tags on my business profile?

Birdeye business profile is a customized website provided by Birdeye that displays your business information and online reviews aggregated from across the internet. These profiles are indexed on Google which helps them to be found on the Google Search Engine Results Page (SERP).

What is a 'No Follow' tag?

A 'No Follow' tag is appended to a hyperlink on an HTML page that helps instruct search engines not to follow any outgoing or 3rd party links. It also allows webmasters to control if search engines follow a specific link or not. Without a 'No Follow' tag, search engine crawler will be redirected to a 3rd party link as soon it encounters the link on the page.

Why is it on my Birdeye business profile?

Birdeye adds a 'No Follow' tag for a 3rd party to boost search engine optimization (SEO) rankings and provide maximum SEO juice to the business profiles. A 'No Follow' tag doesn't impact the user experience of a visitor on the business profile, but only guides the search engines to run through the entire page.

Here’s how a ‘No Follow’ tag looks like for a 3rd party link on the Birdeye business profile.
