How do I collect payments via the Buy Now, Pay Later (Affirm) method?
Birdeye now accepts payments via the BNPL (Buy Now, Pay Later) method. Buy Now, Pay Later is a payment method that allows customers to buy goods or services now and pay for them later, usually in instalments. Birdeye is integrating with Affirm, allowing each business to enable their customers to purchase without paying right away.
REQUESTING PAYMENT
Follow these steps to receive payments via BNPL (Affirm) through Birdeye Inbox:
1. On the Birdeye dashboard, click on 'Inbox.'
2. Select the customer name and click on 'Payments.'
3. From the drop-down menu displaying 'Text', you can select the text, email or card entry to send a payment request to the customer.
4. Now enter information, including item details, Invoice amount, and Invoice number.
5. Click on the 'Send’ button.
6. A payment link is automatically generated and sent. This is how it will appear once you request the payment from the customer.
7. Once the customer clicks on the payment link, they will be redirected to the checkout page. They would need to click the ‘Affirm’ payment method.
8. Click on the ‘Pay’ button to proceed.
9. Once the payment is completed, the 'Payment received' message will appear in the Birdeye Inbox.
PAYMENTS DASHBOARD
A user can have a quick look at payments that are requested from different customers by following these steps:
1. Click on the ‘Payments’ tab.
2. Click the ‘Payments method’ drop-down button to view the transactions via the Affirm method. Click on the ‘Apply’ button.
3. You can also download the excel spreadsheet of transactions by clicking the ‘Download Excel’ button.
4. Hover over three dots and click on the ‘Actions’ drop-down button and select ‘View details.' On the new screen, you will be able to view the details of the transaction.
