How do I send a new message via Birdeye mobile app?

With Birdeye, you can seamlessly connect via text/email. You can view the conversations within the Inbox.

SENDING A NEW MESSAGE

Begin by clicking the ‘Inbox’ tab in the bottom left of the Birdeye mobile app. To create and send a new message, click the 'Pencil' icon.

On the next screen, search for the contact, and click on the contact you want to send a message to.


In the contact chat box, type the message in the text box and hit the ‘Send’ button. 


Click on the ‘+’ sign to attach/send media to the conversation.

In case of failure, click ‘Try Again’ to send the message.

 

Post-clicking the ‘+’ sign, you get options to either add images or documents, send preset templates, and even click pictures in real time and send them as a message.

For clicking a picture in real-time to send a message, select the ‘Camera’ option or click on the ‘Camera’ icon.

Click the photo and click ‘Use Photo’ here; the image will be attached next to your text box in the chat section, where you hit the ‘Send’ button to send the image.

 

For sending images, click on ‘Photos,’ and from the photos drawer, choose the pictures you want to send, and click on ‘Done’ to proceed further.

The image gets attached next to your text box in the chat section, where you hit the ‘Send’ button to send the image.


For sending documents, click on ‘Document,’ and from the documents drawer, choose the document you want to send.

The document gets attached to your text box in the chat section, where you hit the ‘Send’ button to send the document.

Also, you can remove the attachment if you do not wish to send it across by clicking on the ‘x’ cross sign.


For adding an internal note, click on ‘Internal note,’ type the internal note and click on ‘Add.’

Post clicking ‘Add,’ the note gets created in the chat.


For sending templates, click on ‘Templates,’ and from the text templates drawer, choose the template you want to send.

The template text gets added to your text box in the chat section, where you hit the ‘Send’ button to send the template.


Additionally, you can also assign a conversation to a team member, start a video chat, mark the conversation as unread, add another location to the contact, switch communication mode from text to email and vice versa, and lastly, block and mark a conversation as spam by clicking ‘three dots’ on the top right corner of the chat box and selecting the respective option.


ADD NEW CONTACT FROM INBOX TO SEND MESSAGE

To create a new contact in the inbox, click the 'Pencil' icon.

On the next screen, click ‘Add contact’ and fill in the details on the next screen. Once you have filled in all the details, click ‘Create contact.’

On successfully creating a contact, the contact chat box will open automatically, where you can start the conversation.
