AI Search supports multi-brand management for enterprise accounts, allowing you to configure multiple brands, associate them with website domains, assign themes and prompts to specific brands, and analyze AI Search performance by brand.
You can also manage brand mappings in bulk using an Excel file and filter reports to analyze visibility, citation share, rankings, and sentiment for specific brands.
Enable brand prompts
Before configuring brands, make sure Brand prompts are enabled in the AI Search report settings.
In AI Search, expand Settings and click Report.
Under Prompt tracking, locate Brand prompts.
Enable the Brand prompts toggle.
Select the reporting frequency from the dropdown, if required.
Manage brands
Use the Brand section to create and manage the brands included in your AI Search reports.
Create a brand
Enter the brand name.
Enter the website domain associated with the brand.
Click Add website to add multiple website domains if the brand uses more than one domain.
Click Save.
When prompted to confirm that the brand will be included in your reports, click Add.
The brand is added to your list of configured brands and can be used for AI Search reporting and prompt mapping.
NOTE:
AI Search identifies a default brand based on the website domains configured for your locations. If the same domain is configured across locations, it appears as a single default brand. If different domains are configured across locations, multiple websites can appear for the default brand.
Edit a brand
The added brands are displayed in the Your brands section.
To edit a brand, you can:
Hover over the brand you want to update.
Click the Edit icon.
Update the brand name or website domains as needed.
Click Save or Update.
The updated information is applied to the selected brand.
Delete a brand
Hover over the brand you want to remove.
Click the Delete icon.
Confirm the deletion.
The brand is removed from your configured brands.
Manage brand variations
Brand variations allow you to associate different representations of a brand with a configured brand. You can add variations to your own brand or to other configured brands, including competitor brands.
Add a brand variation
Switch to the Brand variations tab.
Locate the brand you want to add a variation for.
Click Add variation.
The variation is associated with the selected brand.
Add a variation for another or competitor brand
You can also use Add variation to add a variation for another configured brand, such as a competitor.
Delete a brand variation
Go to Brand variations.
Hover over the variation you want to remove.
Click the Delete icon.
Confirm the deletion.
The variation is removed from the brand.
Map brands to themes and prompts
When you manage themes and prompts by brand, AI Search lets you control which brands a particular prompt runs for.
View brands mapped to themes and prompts
The Brands column displays the number of brands mapped to each theme or prompt.
To view the specific brands mapped to a theme or prompt:
Locate the theme or prompt you want to review.
Click the number in the Brands column.
Review the list of brands mapped to that theme or prompt.
For example, a theme or prompt mapped to two brands displays 2 in the Brands column. Clicking the number shows the names of the associated brands.
This lets you quickly see how many brands a prompt is configured for and which specific brands are associated with it.
Add a prompt for specific brands
The prompt is mapped to the selected brands.
The By brand view also displays the number of brands mapped to each prompt, helping you identify how broadly a prompt is configured.
Change the brands mapped to a prompt
The prompt will then run for the newly selected brands.
Bulk manage brand mappings
If you need to update brand mappings for multiple themes and prompts, you can use the Excel bulk-management option instead of updating each prompt individually.
Download brand-level theme and prompt data
Open the downloaded spreadsheet.
The spreadsheet includes brand-level theme and prompt information, including details such as:
Update brand mappings in bulk
AI Search applies the updated brand mappings to the selected themes and prompts.
Analyze AI Search performance by brand
AI Search reports allow you to view aggregated data across brands or focus on specific brands.
Here’s an example from the Overview tab under Outcomes.
You can switch between By location and By brand views where available.
The By brand view provides brand-level data for metrics such as:
Filter the report by brand
Use the Brand filter to view performance for specific brands.
Click all brands at the top of the report.
Select the brand or brands you want to analyze.
Click Apply.
View brand-specific performance across reports
Expand the Outcomes tab in AI Search.
Open any report (Visibility, Citations, Ranking, Accuracy, Sentiment, AI Sites, Themes, Prompts, Platform, and more) from the Outcomes tab you want to analyze.
Select By brand where available.
Select All brands from the brand filter.
The report displays aggregated data across the configured brands.
Analyze a specific brand as "you"
You can use the brand filter to analyze another configured business as the primary brand in the report.
For example, if you select a specific brand from the brand filter, that business is represented as you, while the other businesses in the report are treated as competitors for that view.
This allows you to analyze the AI Search performance of different brands using the same reporting framework.
Export brand-level reports
You can download AI Search reports in Excel or PDF format based on the brands selected in the report filters.
Download a report for selected brands
Open the report you want to export.
Use the Brand filter to select the required brand or brands.
Click Download.
Select Excel or PDF.
Save the downloaded report.
The exported report reflects the brand selection applied to the report.
For example, if you select one brand before downloading the report, the exported data reflects that brand. If you select all configured brands, the export includes data for all selected brands.
